The leadership of the Episcopal Church is considering disciplinary action against 9 bishops. These nine bishops are:

  • Edward Salmon, former Bishop of South Carolina
  • Peter Beckwith, retired Bishop of Springfield
  • Bruce Macpherson, Bishop of Western Louisiana
  • Maurice Benitez, retired Bishop of Texas
  • John Howe, retired Bishop of Central Florida
  • Paul Lambert, Suffragan Bishop of Dallas
  • James Stanton, Bishop of Dallas
  • Daniel Martins, Bishop of Springfield
  • William Love, Bishop of Albany

Essentially, The Episcopal Church is investigating them for providing testimony in lawsuits that supported the rights of dioceses to disaffiliate from the church. Find out more about this sad story here. The Rev. Canon Phil Ashey of the AAC analyzes the events in the special video report below.
