The Church of England’s House of Laity recently attempted to remove its chairman, Dr. Philip Giddings. The vote for no confidence came in the wake of a heated debate on women bishops in the Church of England-a debate where Dr. Giddings defended the views of the minority which oppose women bishops. In this week’s Anglican Perspective, Canon Ashey looks at what the Bible says about disputable matters within the Church.
