DIOCESAN leadership INITIATIVE

WHERE CAN DIOCESAN LEADERSHIP FIND SOME EXTRA SUPPORT AND RESOURCING FOR ENCOURAGEMENT, THE SHARING OF BEST PRACTICES, and MUTUAL CARE?

Our resources for diocesan support seeks to provide help in a diocese’s life at every level. We partner with dioceses to help equip them where needed, at every level of the Church. Whether the need is for canonical advice, a network of diocesan leaders and bishops for fellowship and prayer, or connections to other ongoing ministries that can benefit a diocese, the AAC’s Diocesan Leadership Initiative can help. In the past, we have held Bishops Leadership Academies, where new bishops were partnered with more experienced bishops for fellowship, prayer, and support. Presentations and discussions on the spiritual, physical, and emotional health of the bishop and his family provided a wholistic opportunity for ministry to those attending. In addition to large group sessions, bishops met in small groups for sharing and prayer, for longer conversations around larger issues, and for fellowship and recreation. Here’s a video below to highlight one of these past events.
