Our Mission

Welcome to

The American Anglican Council

developing, equipping, & supporting health
in the anglican church

Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit

The mission of the American Anglican Council is to come alongside Anglican churches to cultivate healthy leaders, equip healthy congregations, and support healthy governance for the good of the Church at every level. We believe health looks like wholeness — leaders and churches living in alignment with the purposes for which they were created. Because local churches are the primary means by which God renews the world, we focus on resourcing leaders who are faithful, courageous, and resilient, so that Anglican churches can remain rooted in their biblical and apostolic foundations while boldly fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission. Our vision is a renewed Anglican Church, marked by healthy leaders, flourishing congregations, and faithful governance, bearing witness to Christ in every place God has called it.

WHAT WE DO

The American Anglican Council works through three primary ministries that focus on leadership development, church revitalization, and canonical governance:

  • Anglican Leadership Ministries
  • Anglican Revitalization Ministries
  • Anglican Governance Ministries

HOW WE DO IT

We are shaped by convictions that guide how we lead, serve, and speak within the Anglican Church. These values are not abstract ideals but lived commitments that inform our theology, our posture, and our practice. They anchor our work in faithfulness to Christ, clarity of witness, and dependence on the Holy Spirit as we labor for the renewal of the Church.

  • Biblical Faithfulness
  • Prophetic Voice
  • Catalytic Leadership
  • Apostolic Action
  • Contagious Courage
  • Holy Integrity
  • Prevailing Prayer

OUR HISTORY

Founded nearly 30 years ago, the American Anglican Council exists to support Anglican leaders and churches committed to biblical faithfulness and Christian orthodoxy. Throughout its history, the AAC has served the Church during moments of theological conflict and institutional transition, offering resources and leadership aimed at renewal rather than retreat. While structural realignments within the Anglican world have addressed some challenges, the need for healthy leaders, renewed congregations, and faithful governance remains. The AAC continues its work to help the Church grow in wholeness, faithfulness, and mission.

A HISTORICAL TIMELINE

The American Anglican Council (AAC) has supported biblical orthodoxy in Anglicanism for thirty years and was there at every milestone in the Anglican Realignment. The timeline below shows each major step in this global realignment and where the AAC left its mark throughout this modern reformation. We invite you to explore it!
