DIOCESAN Leadership RESOURCES

WHERE CAN DIOCESAN LEADERSHIP FIND SOME EXTRA SUPPORT FOR ENCOURAGEMENT, BEST PRACTICES & MUTUAL CARE?
Our resources for diocesan support seek to provide help in a diocese’s life at every level. Whether the need is for canonical advice, a network of diocesan leaders and bishops for fellowship and prayer, or connections to other ongoing ministries that can benefit a diocese, the AAC’s resources can help. We have held Bishops Leadership Academies, where new bishops were partnered with more experienced bishops for fellowship, prayer, and support. We also provide canon law resources through Anglican Governance Ministries, especially through our canonical consulting. In addition, our books and videos can be used throughout dioceses and as resources for parishes under episcopal care.
RESOURCES FOR DIOCESAN LEADERS
AAC Clergy Care Groups provide confidential, Christ-centered support for clergy and their families facing the real pressures of ministry. When clergy encounter seasons of exhaustion, personal struggle, marital strain, or vocational stress, these groups offer a trusted space for care, prayer, and restoration—without expectation to lead or perform.
Grounded in Scripture, mutual accountability, and pastoral friendship, Clergy Care Groups help clergy grow in resilience and Christlikeness while addressing the hidden costs of ministry life. In addition to ongoing care groups, AAC offers Clergy Recovery Groups for intentional healing and Clergy Spouse Support Groups, recognizing the shared weight ministry places on families. For bishops and diocesan leaders, Clergy Care Groups provide a wise, supportive pathway for strengthening clergy and sustaining long-term, faithful ministry.
Anglican Revitalization Ministries (ARM) exists to help bishops and diocesan leaders support congregations facing decline, fatigue, or seasons of transition. Through Revive workshops, Renew training, and Reframe Consulting, ARM partners with churches to restore health, clarify mission, and renew confidence in the Gospel.
Grounded in Scripture, Anglican theology, and the Church’s historic mission, ARM provides thoughtful assessment, coaching, and practical guidance to address both spiritual and structural challenges. Rather than offering quick fixes, ARM walks alongside congregations as leaders discern realities honestly, seek God’s direction faithfully, and take concrete steps toward renewal. For diocesan leadership, ARM offers a trusted pathway to foster healthier clergy, stronger congregations, and sustainable, Gospel-centered ministry across the diocese.
Anglican Governance Ministries – Canonical Consulting provides bishops and diocesan leaders with experienced, faithful guidance in matters of Anglican polity, governance, and discipline. Building on decades of service to the Anglican Church in North America and the wider Communion, this ministry supports bishops as they navigate complex canonical, constitutional, and ecclesial challenges.
Led by the Rev. Canon Andrew Rowell, Director of Anglican Governance Ministries, Canonical Consulting offers principled, pastoral, and practical counsel rooted in Scripture, the Anglican formularies, and the canons of the ACNA. Services include assistance with constitutions and canons, parish bylaws, disciplinary processes, and governance questions at diocesan and provincial levels. For bishops seeking wise counsel that strengthens mission, safeguards unity, and upholds the good order of the Church, Canonical Consulting provides a trusted and steady partner in faithful Anglican governance.
American Anglican Media equips bishops and diocesan leaders with trusted multimedia resources to support the theological formation, pastoral leadership, and ongoing development of clergy. Through curated video series, interviews, and educational offerings, American Anglican Media provides accessible, Gospel-centered content suitable for individual enrichment or use across parishes and dioceses—helping clergy lead with clarity, faithfulness, and resilience.

THE BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER
In creating this video series, the AAC interviewed some of the key people involved with writing the new Book of Common Prayer (2019) (BCP). The 13-part series serves not only as an intro to the new BCP but also as an intro to the prayer book in general and should be helpful and relevant to all Anglicans.
