Keeping Hope Alive

OSCODA, MI – This past week, Canon Mark led another Revive Weekend at Hope Anglican Church, in the beautiful lakeside community of Oscoda, Michigan. Situated on Lake Huron, Hope Anglican is led by Fr. Tim Doubblestein and is a parish in the Missionary Diocese of All Saints (MDAS). MDAS has been partnering with Anglican Revitalization Ministries by having every congregation take our online Revive Church Health Assessment offered through Asbury Seminary. To strengthen this partnership, Canon Mark was joined by Fr. Terry Moore, the Vicar General of the diocese’s Central Convocation.

At Hope, Fr. Tim is doing an excellent job leading a small but highly outreach-oriented parish. Revive provided him and his congregation help in gaining clarity on the specific vision for their outreach efforts so their hard work is even more effective at building relationships with those they serve in Oscoda. Their goal is to lean more into local evangelism and bring people who come into the Hope Church family further along on the path to mature discipleship.

Canon Mark is looking forward to six months of follow-up coaching with Fr. Tim and Hope Church, part of the Revive Program package, along with continuing to serve and support other congregations in the Missionary Diocese of All Saints.
