Canon Mark led a Revive weekend at Trinity Anglican Church in Lago Vista, TX. The Rev. Dale Chrisman, rector, leads a Spirit-filled Bible-centered and growing congregation that wants to get greater clarity on the vision God has for them in their community. Who, specifically, is God calling them to reach in the Lago Vista area to make them disciples of Jesus?

Father Dale attended Canon Mark’s New Wineskins pre-conference at the 2019 conference and was inspired by the presentation. He wanted to bring the principles of Revive to his congregation for them to experience this more focused way of being missional in the life of their church. Father Dale said, “Canon Mark works in the tradition of other great church revitalization ministers in our movement, but he does so for our current times. His passion and style of presenting, along with his practical and real-life experiences make Revive one of the best church growth resources I’ve seen.”

The weekend consisted of meeting with the vestry on Friday night to listen to their hopes and challenges as they begin to engage the process of change and new movement forward. On Saturday, Canon Mark led a seminar for the whole church, explaining the principles and strategies of church revitalization, and on Sunday, he was able to debrief with church leadership on next steps and goals. Canon Mark will follow up with a written report and recommendation, along with continued coaching to help implement their next steps.
