The American Anglican Council (AAC) is pleased to announce that the Rev. Clancy Nixon will be joining them to direct Renew, a ministry of Anglican Revitalization Ministries (ARM), a division of the AAC. Alongside Revive, for church revitalization, and Reframe, for pastoral consultation, Reform is committed to bringing the principles of Holy Spirit renewal to the local church for the sake of personal health and congregational growth. The Rev. Canon Mark Eldredge, Director of ARM, commented, “Our times desperately need a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. ARM is committed to doing our part toward that end. Clancy joining our team will allow us to take our Holy Spirit renewal resources to the next level and enable us to equip many more local churches in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.”

Beginning in the Fall of 2024, ARM will expand this parish renewal ministry under the Rev. Clancy’s leadership, scaling it to provide more weekend training events and strengthen its ongoing support to congregational leaders. Rev. Clancy will serve with Canon Mark to expand this vital ministry to many more churches in the ACNA. When reached for comment, he said, “I’m thrilled to take up the role of the Director of Renew, because I have two deep and abiding passions: the growth and maturity of local churches and the empowering of clergy and laity to move in the fullness of Holy Spirit power.” His intention is to expand the offerings of Renew to include a variety of teaching topics and formats for conferences.  Along with moving into renewal, this would include gatherings focused on a variety of healing topics, on deliverance ministry, on gift identification and impartation, on prophetic ministry, and more. He also intends to offer coaching, both individually and in groups, by Zoom.

For 24 years, The Rev. Clancy Nixon was the founding rector of Church of the Holy Spirit in the outer suburbs of Washington, DC. This Anglican parish is known for its embrace of charismatic renewal, church planting, and healing ministry. He currently co-leads the Healing in Mission Network for New Wineskins and trains scores of people in healing ministry through Zoom every week.  He had a 15-year career as a corporate attorney before entering pastoral ministry.
